MERCY is a is a darkly comedic play that centres around a British Iranian expat family living in London.
Starring Shila Ommi, the story takes audiences on a spiritual and mystical journey delving into themes of grief, acceptance and most importantly, love. Through biting humour and tender moments, MERCY explores an emotionally complex portrait of a man and woman facing mortality, their tumultuous state of a crumbling marriage, and the fragmenting effects it has on their family.
Shila is known for her performances in AppleTV’s ‘Tehran’ (the third season will be airing soon), Disney/Pixar’s Oscar nominated film ‘Elemental’, and Netflix’s upcoming new series ‘Kaos’ amongst many. She will be playing the role of Amireh, the matriach of the family.
